More on my anti-starling device

It's been a while since I mentioned my anti-starling device. It seems to work pretty all right -- I only saw one or two starlings even try it, and they didn't manage to get any food. The mockingbirds went to town on it, which I still think is weird, and I've seen the chickadees at it too. I haven't seen the downy woodpeckers lately, but nobody I've talked to has, and I suspect now that the weather's nice, they simply have other options available to them.
